Donald Doubles Down on Election Lies in Michigan Today

One day after new election interference allegations were levied against Donald Trump, the Republican presidential nominee used a Michigan speech to repeat false claims he "won" the state in 2020.

More

"We did win " it was a rigged election," the former president said Thursday during a rally at Saginaw Valley State University, where he predicted he will beat Democratic nominee Kamala Harris in Michigan on Nov. 5."

Comments

"Harris' campaign countered in a statement:

"Donald Trump can't lead our country forward because he refuses to let go of the past. ... Instead of offering any real solutions, the closing message from Trump and his running mate to battleground voters is a lie to undermine our democracy."

At a rally in Michigan today, Trump promised the crowd that he would win the state, just like he did in 2020.

Trump lost Michigan by over 150,000 votes in 2020.

Trump also said that while mail-in ballots contributed to the election being stolen from him in 2020, for 2024, since Michigan has already started to send out mail-in ballots, that perhaps this year, the state's voters should consider using them. Well, which is it, are mail-in ballots susceptible to fraud or not? You can't have it both ways.

Note that Michigan is a 'no excuse' state. That is, any registered voter can request a mail-in ballot and they are NOT required to provide a reason for doing so.

@#2 ... Trump also said that while mail-in ballots contributed to the election being stolen from him in 2020, ...

Did he proffer any evidence of that assertion?

Or was it just his usual addled babbling?

And, if the latter, why is anyone taking him seriously?

any registered voter can request a mail-in ballot and they are NOT required to provide a reason for doing so.

Which is exactly how that should work.

I was hoping the people of the States of Michigan and Wisconsin would get a full media blast of Jack Smith's filings in the J-6 election interference case.

If so, they'll soon learn that Trump is not morally capable of upholding the high standards we expect of a president. He's just a scamming, self-serving conman who would rather lie when it's easier to tell the truth.

@#6 ... If so, they'll soon learn that Trump is not morally capable of upholding the high standards we expect of a president. ...

As a person exposed to the NYC news media for decades, I knew that back in 2016.

And I gave a warning back then on this most august site.

What else can I say?

"And I gave a warning back then on this most august site."

It's not your fault. It's just unfortunate that this site isn't the MSM.
