How Crazy Was the Las Vegas Cybertruck Bomber?

The Defector's Tom Scocca writes an interesting story about people who do clearly crazy actions for stated political reasons. He exams the New York Times' stories about the Las Vegas and New Orleans attacks. The New York Times was quick to point out how ISIS radicalized the New Orleans suspect but spent little time on how MAGA rhetoric radicalized the Las Vegas suspect.

If Livelsberger did have PTSD, or even the traumatic brain injury the Times is hoping for, his violent and destructive impulses were still shaped by the political movement he supported. Nothing in his messages, as provided by law enforcement, was outside the boundaries of the MAGA coalition; he was no more incoherent than the person he praised as a "real President" is.

MAGA is a mental illness that afflicts the orange pedo on down.

Been on numerous forums and message forums and the MAGA'ts are having a heck of a time admitting he's one of theirs.

He is just a typical Trumper acting out.

Many of them do the same kinds of things in their heads.

I mean, it's not like there's anything else going on in there.

'Nothing in his messages, as provided by law enforcement, was outside the boundaries of the MAGA coalition; he was no more incoherent than the person he praised as a "real President" is.'

Therefore, sane relative to his peer group. Too bad that his peer group is a bag of agitated roaches.

They really want to see themselves as being patriots and heroes.

Too bad that they've made it a point to exclude any concept of pro-social behavior from patriotism or heroism.

- They really want to see themselves as being patriots and heroes.

Perhaps they should follow this Hero's example.

Which would be the world's greatest twofer... ugly trucks and fat Trumpers.

So a Trump cultist tries to blow up Trump Tower.

Someone please make that make sense.

Make sense of anything MAGA if you can please.

Makes as much sense as electing a lifelong con artist billionaire to save you from the elites.

Makes as much sense as calling yourself a patriot while voting for a Russian puppet

Makes as much sense as saying you want to defend democracy while attempting a coup against democracy

"How ISIS radicalized the New Orleans suspect but spent little time on how MAGA rhetoric radicalized the Las Vegas suspect."

They were both ------- crazy, and now they are both dead. Why are we making this a competition?

Guy was pretty much normal for MAGA. Hell, just read the comments on this site if you think he was "crazy." He is the new normal.

He wasn't "trying to blow up Trump Tower", he was sacrificing himself on that alter.
