Hey idiots.

Do you think China will take the excess Mexican exports?

What do you think this will do long term to our exports to Mexico?

Do you think China, who is building ports in Central America will take advantage of this?

The magnitude of your disastrous decisions is just beginning to take shape.

Do you ------- morons realize that American producers of the products being tariffed will raise their prices to match?

You do ------- realize you voted for a 25% sales tax?

#5 | Posted by truthhurts at 2025-01-31 02:51 PM

Hey Texas ---------.

You realize YOUR state imports the most from Mexico? Who do you think will be paying that tax?

Congrats you ------ yourselves.

It's funny when you look at the states that import the most from China and Canada and Mexico.

Yes big blue states like CA and MI and Il, which are expected given their population, GDP, proximity and industry.

But, a lot of red states are big importers too, like Texas, NC, TN

Point and laugh at the magat scum.

Last I read, Canada is cutting energy supplies to America starting in February and Mexico has stopped all steel exports to America and has stated they will sell it to China.

MAGA?

#8 | Posted by ClownShack at 2025-01-31 02:56 PM

Less steel means things made of steel are cheaper, right?

And again, for the morons out there.

Here is a basic lesson in economics.

When tariffs raise prices on a commodity that is imported, those who produce those products within the country raise their prices to match the imported products cost with the tariff, cause they can.

What also happens is that there is less of the commodity available in the market.

What happens when less of a commodity is in the marketplace? Hint, price of said commodity increases.

Tariffs are a terrific trigger for inflation and recession.

Which there were hints of prior to today's announcement.

You really ------ us.

Whatever. I don't like Canadian bacon anyway.

Really hope Taco Bell prices don't go up, though.

The US is a net exporter of petroleum. You don't need to import anything. I keep reading that.

@#14 ... The US is a net exporter of petroleum. You don't need to import anything. I keep reading that. ...

Wait, when I said that, you mentioned the difference between the different levels of crude oil.

Can you explain that again?

thx.

Can you explain that again?

It's possible I was being facetious with that comment. :-)

I think Lewzer has exempted oil from his tariff plan anyway.

@#16 ... It's possible I was being facetious with that comment. :-) ...

OK.

Don't do that.

I've looked at your comments with a level of credibility. And now you tell me that was a wrong thing to do?

Please, don't do that facetious thing. The knowledge you have to convey is better than that.
