U.S. Citizen in Arizona Detained by Immigration Officials for 10 Days

A teenager was wrongfully taken off the streets in Tucson, Arizona and held for more than a week despite being an American citizen. Court documents say the teen admitted to illegally entering the U.S. and that he was arrested in Nogales, Arizona, according to Arizona Public Media. The teen said he has never been to Nogales. His family had to make many phone calls to discover the teens plight.

Jose Hermosillo, arrested while visiting Tucson from Albuquerque, told them he's a US citizen.

[Border Patrol said Hermosillo was] arrested "at or near Nogales ... without proper immigration documents" and that [he] admitted to illegally entering the U.S.

Anyone else think that ICE just gets bored and makes a little excitement for themselves?

And then, or course, lie about it to everyone.

Trump is not happy with the rate of deportments he so glibly lauded as a scapegoat for America's problems.

ICE is under pressure to step up the pace. To make headlines for Trump . . . not themselves.

As a result, ICE will take a stab in the dark at anything.
