President Trump said Friday the U.S. will unilaterally set tariff rates for many trading partners in the coming weeks, citing a lack of capacity to negotiate with so many countries simultaneously.
Step 1. Announce arbitrary tariffs for each country Step 2. When markets crash, pause those tariffs and say they're just leverage for deals Step 3. Promise deals Step 4. Fail to make deals Step 5. Announce arbitrary tariffs for each country ... and yes, I find it hard to keep my cool, sometimes.
