After alleging verbal and physical abuse, a 31-year-old woman from Bangladesh separated from her American husband and is now worried about being deported.

35,917 abuse victims filed for special protection of their immigration status with USCIS under the Violence Against Women Act (VAWA). In 2014, there were 7,130 such filings.

I actually am a sponsor for a woman that got stuckin immigration detention because she overstayed her visa. Anyone that would use immigration statis as a way to hurt an immigrant person is a real low life.

Were you helping her go back home? Because she probably knew her visa was coming to an end. Why didnt she go back and obey OUR laws?
