'Potential security guarantees: At last week's summit with Trump, President Vladimir Putin agreed to allow security guarantees for Ukraine and made concessions on "land swaps" as part of a potential peace deal, US envoy Steve Witkoff told CNN.

Zelensky suggested that such guarantees would need to be stronger than those that "didn't work" in the past. Russia has yet to mention such agreements.

On the ground: Zelensky condemned Russia's latest strikes across Ukraine, which killed at least 10 people, saying the Kremlin intends to "humiliate diplomatic efforts" and underscores "why reliable security guarantees are required."

Coming up: White House arrivals are set to get underway at 12 p.m. ET, followed by today's high-stakes meetings. Here's the rundown."

Zelenskyy should ask Putin's bitch why his name is all over the Epstein Files.

He should wear that question on a Black T-shirt... maybe HE has a copy of the Epstein Files, and that's why we've gotten this far!

Trump never forgave him for refusing to make stuff up about Biden, and you know how Trump loves vengeance.

But Vlad lost 20,000 troops in July alone and is feeling Coup Heat at home, so perhaps this is a good time to take Crimea and be done with it.

Trumpy is such a dick president.

Whispering sweet nothings into Pooty's ear and promising to help himbut not lifting even a tiny fat finger to help Zelensky and the people of Ukraine.

Putin is killing innocent Ukrainian women and children as we speak.

Trumpy is acting like a bully to his own people and even sending the military troops against his own people but acting like a coward on the world stage.

How about sending some troops to harass the Damn Russians? What a freaking hateful coward.

The FAFO is going as well as expected.

5 Russian drones strike a residential building in Ukraine minutes ago.... he's still killing civilians to make Zelenskyy flinch.

#6 | Posted by Corky at 2025-08-18 12:35 PM

So, it turns out that Russia is nowhere near taking the two cities they need to control all the territory they really want, the industrial and agricultural areas of Donbass; it could take 2 or more years.

#7 | Posted by Corky at 2025-08-18 01:09 PM

A Ceasefire stops the killing that Bloody Vlad uses to pressure Ukraine... a long negotiation of a Peace Deal he still won't sign lets him kill more civilians.

#8 | Posted by Corky at 2025-08-18 01:14 PM

Vlad scored himself yet another dead toddler among the 7 killed in his attack on an apartment complex this morning.

It's OK, though, because Trump likes him.

SO... Trump says, "So, you mean if 3 and half years we are in a war, we don't have to have elections?"

#10 | Posted by Corky

Yeah, apparently Trump doesn't understand that not all Constitutions are the same.

Less. If Trumpy helps Pooty. As he promised to do when he whispered sweet nothings into his ear.

#10 | POSTED BY CORKY

If we have a war with Russia (which could easily go nuclear) I'd bet we won't have any more elections for quite a while.

#13 | Posted by donnerboy at 2025-08-18 02:24 PM

Damit. We told Ukraine years ago that we would defend them when they gave up the third largest nuclear arsenal. They did. Now we're throwing them under the bus to appease the Russians. What a cluster. Nobody should take our word again. We aren't worthy.

#14 | Posted by lee_the_agent at 2025-08-18 02:43 PM

Doe 174 didn't roll out the red carpet for Zelenskyy. What a surprise.

The US didn't say they would defend Ukraine.

The signors said they wouldn't attack Ukraine.

Given this the rest of your post is obviously wrong.

Trump and Zelensky Meet

Why is Zelensky meeting with Putin's errand boy?

How absolutely pointless.

#17 | POSTED BY ONECUCK

Trump's too busy defending Putin to have time for anyone else.

#19 | Posted by ClownShack at 2025-08-18 02:54 PM

Imagine Putin's ------- telling the leader of a sovereign country what they can and cannot do while invaded by a hostile power.

But that's where we are, as Bad-Bronzer-Boy gets increasingly dseperate and unhinged in his quixotic search for the Holy Nobel.

#20 | Posted by e1g1 at 2025-08-18 02:55 PM

The signors said they wouldn't attack Ukraine.

Which is worthless as the paper it's written on.

Putin had already agreed once not to attack Ukraine. How's that working out for Ukraine?

The Budapest Memorandum included commitments to respect Ukraine's independence and sovereignty.

From where I sit invading Ukraine was not very "respectful" of Ukraine's independence or sovereignty.

True. I agree, never would have done it

But Clinton strong armed Ukraine.

--- Trump and --- Putin too. This is a shameful period for America. We have let Ukraine down after promising them we would defend them if attacked if they gave up their nukes. Sad to see.

#24 | Posted by LauraMohr at 2025-08-18 03:05 PM

Really, Ukraine should be most happy about the Epstein Files... without them, Trump would have told Zelenskyy to F off a long time ago.

Now he's doing it slowly; taking up as much news space and time as he can.

#25 | Posted by Corky at 2025-08-18 03:08 PM

AI overview:

No, President Clinton did not force Ukraine to accept the Budapest Memorandum. The Budapest Memorandum was an agreement signed in 1994 by the United States, Russia, and the United Kingdom, extending security assurances to Ukraine in exchange for Ukraine giving up its nuclear weapons. While Clinton did meet with Ukrainian President Leonid Kravchuk and urged him to sign the Trilateral Statement (a precursor to the Budapest Memorandum), the decision to accede to the Non-Proliferation Treaty and relinquish its nuclear arsenal was ultimately Ukraine's.

GFY with your hateful lies commie.

With the rapid Increase in the use of AI and advanced algorithms and social media the average citizen determining what is real and what is misinformation is going to get more and more difficult.

Nothing can be assumed to be the truth anymore without multiple sources of verification of some sort. And honestly really should never have been. But by now it should be painfully obvious.
