I never thought I had one day to cancel Sunday worship because it is not safe for our Latino siblings to come to church. But here we are ... , wrote one pastor on Facebook.

It's not a good look for the ICE Patrol, all geared up and rockin' their face masks, standing outside a church on Sunday, just waiting on parishioners to leave after mass. It's even worse when some of those creeps enter into a house of worship on the Lord's Day, and opens those goons to an errant bolt of lightning on a clear day. Now that I am retired, I just called in and volunteered today to work for free with an immigration legal rights project in Los Angeles 20 hours a week advising people arrested by ICE, both in and out of custody. I need some training, but I expect to start working with clients in two weeks. I TOTALLY believe in fighting the authoritarian Power that has been unleashed on decent, honest, hard working people in this nation BY the Trump Gestapo.

What is so bad about illegal immigration that it's worth spending tens of thousands of dollars per deportee.

Can we see your cost benefit analysis of why that makes financial sense.

No, because you don't have one and you don't care how much it costs to make people suffer in camps.

This has been my experience. I do not see Latinos at Mass anymore and I attend a parish that is tri-lingual (English, Polish, and Spanish). The Spanish is pointless now in light of the people who are currently attending and it has been that way for a few months.
