Trump Shuts Down Hyundai Facility in Georgia

In a large-scale immigration enforcement raid at a huge Hyundai facility in Georgia on Thursday, 475 immigrants suspected of living and working in the U.S. illegally were detained, federal authorities announced.

The release of a second consecutive poor jobs report on Friday confirmed the reality that President Trump has been trying to avoid. The labor market is stalling -- and the nation is facing real strains -- under the weight of his economic agenda.

475 is an absolute ton. There is no way Hyundai didn't know. What fines or penalties will Hyundai face or is it just the immigrants who will pay?

The workers were probably told by some middlemanmanagement company that they would take care of everything.

Maybe all that happened and ICE just ignored the paperwork.

ICE doesn't need to verify data before arresting people and sending them to camps.

They're Korean. Hyundai is a Korean company.
ICE is ------- incompetent.

This should spur foreign companies to move manufacturing to the USA.

There is no way the State of Georgia didn't know about the labor practices at the site and plant. This is one of the largest economic development projects in Georgia.

Memo to the goons at ICE and the US government: go after the employers hiring the illegals and the problem will greatly recede.

"Lawyers for the South Koreans say their clients were actually here legally. Gee I wonder who to believe!"

ICE isn't required to check or validate immigration status.

They are free to operate on bad, outdated information.

That fact would come out if there were to be a trial, which is why there won't be a trial.
