Billions in Taxpayer Dollars Now 'Virtually Untraceable'

Billions in taxpayer dollars have become virtually untraceable -- a level of opaqueness in government funds that's raising questions around the legality of the administration's actions. Some of these taxpayer funds expire on Sept. 30. If they're not spent by then, like all funds Congress appropriated specifically for 2025, they disappear. NOTUS attempted to trace the money appropriated for more than 100 government programs to understand where taxpayer dollars are going, only to hit dead ends repeatedly.

Comments

It's easy to trace.

More from the cited article ...

... It was mid-September when Sen. Lisa Murkowski discovered that the Trump administration had pulled education funding for institutions serving Alaskan and Hawaiian Natives.

It was close to $350 million, "that we just found out about," she told NOTUS last week, as Congress sat in a stalemate over how to prevent a government shutdown.

The Department of Education announced the change on Sept. 10, stating that the funding intended for those programs would be repurposed for other unspecified education programs.

Murkowski said she has no idea where the money is going.

Across federal agencies, the Trump administration's aggressive slash-and-burn approach to federal programs, grants and contracts has repeatedly challenged Congress' power of the purse.

The administration has claimed it has the discretion to redirect funds to programs aligned with Trump's agenda -- and Republican congressional leaders have largely let them do it.

The outcome: Billions in taxpayer dollars have become virtually untraceable -- a level of opaqueness in government funds that's raising questions around the legality of the administration's actions. ...

You are an idiot and posts like this one solidify it.

Here's the break down on fundraising prior to the 2024 election.

"The Harris campaign, including the preceding Biden operation and allied groups, raised approximately $2.9 billion, compared to about $1.8 billion for Trump and his allied groups, for a total of $4.7 billion across both sides. This marked a significant fundraising advantage for Democrats, with Harris personally raising over $1 billion in under four months after entering the race in July 2024, setting records like the largest quarterly haul ever at $1 billion from July to September"

Based on recent reporting from The New Yorker, the Trump family is estimated to have gained at least $3.4 billion since 2017,

with a significant portion of that profit linked to Donald Trump's time in public office.

Is it safe to say that billionaires wanted a stake in a Kamala Harris Presidency? It's just a simple question.

#16 | Posted by lfthndthrds

OK.

Is it safe to say you would be screaming about five billion missing taxpayer dollars if Harris were president?

You know, three-point-four billion dollars is an awful lot of money to steal.

But, I know you, than I also know that you think that Donald is worth every penny.

Money leaves a trail. It's hard to imagine ANY money leaving a federal account without its "first stop" being traceable. After that, "Katy bar the door".

Nah.

Minnesota caught MAGA fraudsters fairly quickly and is prosecuting with the FBI.

Unlike Trump and the PPP loans/EIDL, which is closer to $200 billion in fraud losses.

Would you like to stop saying stupid things?
