Coal Miners Say They Are 'Cast Aside to Die' Under Trump

"When coal miners came to Washington in April, they posed behind President Trump at the White House, wearing their hard hats and thanking him for trying to reinvigorate their struggling industry," the New York Times reports. "But on Tuesday dozens of miners and their families will be in a more unusual position: protesting the Trump administration outside the Labor Department building, arguing it has failed to protect them from black lung disease, an incurable illness caused by inhaling coal and silica dust."

Yep when Trump says he loves coal miners he means the guys who own mines -- as always the little guy was good for conning out of a vote and after that the mass grave. www.nytimes.com/2025/10/13/c ...

Thanks to the disgusting orange pedo, coal miners can choke out on a ventilator just like Herman Cain.

"Struggling industry"? Oh? After the recent debacle in lease sales in Montana and Wyoming (one had only one bidder, buying the coal at less than $0.01/ton, and the other cancelled) its surprising that coal miners think they still have jobs. The US market is telling them there is no work for them to do.

Perhaps these folks should be given jobs building solar or wind farms, as a way to give them futures in growing industries. Of course, those jobs are in other countries, the US being backward, denying the future of alternative energy. Those miners can thank Der Dotard for putting them out of work...

Odds are they voted for that.

I don't feel sorry for them.

I thought Lewzer was going to reopen all those retired coal plants and reinvigorate the coal industry?

Why do you hate black people?

Why do you love incitement to murder?

Why do you think someone who credibly has incited Murder should run CBS news?

Pedo 47 and the oligarch supporting GOP blame the demise of coal on Democrats because they know that lie will win them votes with low info red staters.

The reality is that Natural Gas was a cheaper option for utilities. The market made the decision to kill coal, not the democrats.

"Those miners can thank Der Dotard for putting them out of work..."

And they can blame liberals for dying of black lung disease. Instead of shifting some money to create cleaner coal, they completely ignore coal worker work environments and spend all that money on other sources of energy. Reps can't shift money towards cleaner coal because liberals are too busy using that money elsewhere. Which is really sad, especially considering your only solution is to take their jobs away from them. Well, I guess that is actually one way to stop coal miners from getting BLD...just take their jobs. Great solution, libs!!!

Also, black lung disease hasn't seen higher upticks at all yet, and it's been a known risk for decades. But after decades of problems, this one minute of a few coal miners complaining that enough isn't being done is all of a sudden a national emergency caused by Reps.

Can't make this amount of absurdity up even if you tried.

You've already proven this is projection on your part.

Hey Nazi Pedo,

1. Do you think clean coal is actually some different type of coal they dig out of the ground so they won't get black lung? Are you really this stupid?

2. You just blew $4 trillion in deficit spending to give tax cuts to billionaires and CUT money for black lung benfits. No, seriously, how stupid are you?

God damn, these Nazi Pedo MAGAts sure are stupid.

Do you think clean coal is actually some different type of coal

Pro Tip: It is not.

#15 | Posted by REDIAL at 2025-10-15 09:33 PM

Anyone who says coal is "clean" is a mouth-breathing, pin-headed, drooling imbecile.

#16 | Posted by LegallyYourDead at 2025-10-15 09:53 PM

Clean coal is like kosher bacon. Neither actually exist, but that doesn't stop people from marketing it.
