Trump, 79, Gets Confused Explaining Water to the Navy

Speaking aboard the USS George Washington aircraft carrier during his tour of East Asia, the president appeared to suggest -- in a largely incoherent speech -- that he is pushing for aircraft carriers to use "steam for the catapults" and hydraulics for elevators, while wrongly claiming that water can disable magnets.

The results of Trump's latest medical examination have renewed speculation about the president's health.

"You know, the new thing is magnets. So instead of using hydraulic that can be hit by lightning and it's fine. You take a little glass of water, you drop it on magnets, I don't know what's going to happen," Trump said.

Now remember, this man is a literal god to tens of millions of Americans.

That makes me embarrassed and frightened.

"You take a little glass of water, you drop it on magnets, I don't know what's going to happen," Trump said.

Does anyone here NOT know what would happen? Bueller?

I had a family member with dementia who began talking about massive blocks of ice falling off trucks in front of her while she was driving.

I had another family member with dementia who called the police every night to complain about the strangers sitting in her trees.

We sadly medicated both and placed them into twenty-four-seven care.

This is where Trump is at.

Someone has never been magnet fishing. Have retrieved several tools and a lower unit by dropping a magnet in water.

Expecting Republicans to understand magnetism? That is wildly optimistic.

Republicans get confused when asked if an illegal alien, or a fetus, is a "person" under the Constitution.

So good luck with anything science related.

Dementia Don has said similar about magnets before.

"Now all I know about magnets is this, give me a glass of water, let me drop it on the magnets, that's the end of the magnets." - Jan 6 2024

Magnets... is a word similar to MAGA... He was stuck in a word-mixing loop... He wanted to brag about MAGA... but tried to cater to a Navy audience and got lost... How does a land lubber Trumpanzee associate MAGA with people who live on the water... it was like when he confused "oranges" with "origin" and he wanted to find the "oranges" of the problem.

His tangentinal thinking was apparent a decade ago... only now it happens more often...

Besides... the man has had COVID... COVID brain is a thing...

It gets worse and worse for the Republicl0wn party... George W Bush couldn't string together words and form cohesive sentences... only he... being a cheerleader and all... hid his verbal inadequacies behind a charming "aw shucks" persona. Republicl0swns eat that $#!t up. nom nom nom.

Trumpanzee is like a fat old man... well past his chops still trying to be a badazzzzzz. The cl0wn brigade relates to him... He's like political Viagra... medicated prowess lets them still feel relevant.

They call it "The Weave". English professors are amazed by it.

@#10 ... His tangentinal thinking was apparent a decade ago... only now it happens more often... ...

Tangential ... I agree.

Thinking ... I remain to be convinced of the existence of any thought process behind his rambling comments.

imo, I'd call it more, tangential incoherency.

Surgeons remove dozens of magnets from teen's stomach
www.cbsnews.com

... A 13-year-old boy was hospitalized after eating dozens of high-powered magnets, according to a recently published case report in the New Zealand Medical Journal. The boy lost part of his bowel as a result, doctors wrote.

The boy, who was not identified in the case report, ate between 80 and 100 magnets. The "high-power" magnets were 5x2 millimeters each, the report said.

After eating the magnets, the teen had general abdominal pain for four days. When he arrived at the hospital, he told doctors he had eaten the magnets about a week earlier. The hospital he was treated at was not identified in the report.

The case report did not say if the boy explained why or how he ate the magnets.

Eating multiple magnets can be incredibly dangerous because they can clamp together inside the body and cause organ damage or other complications. Patients who eat multiple magnets often need surgical intervention, according to the report. High-powered magnets, which are often sold as desktop toys for adults, are particularly risky. They can be five to 10 times stronger than traditional refrigerator magnets, CBS News reported in 2019. ...
