DoJ Admits Gov Has No Evidence In J Powell Investigation

An attorney from the Jeanine Pirro led DC United States Attorney office admitted in federal court that the DoJ has no evidence to support a subpoena request sought against Federal Reserve Chairman Jerome Powell for possibly making false statements to the Senate Banking Committee.

Comments

When asked what false statements Powell is suspected of making, Deputy US Attorney Andrew Massucco replied "Well, we don't know." Then when asked what evidence the DoJ has to support an investigation into fraud or misconduct, Massucco replied "we do not know at this time."

It appears they are launching a criminal probe for no other reason than Powell disagrees with Trump on lowering interest rates.

Political persecution of his enemies is SO Trumpish.

He'll take whatever pound of flesh he can get from anyone who dares to oppose his magnificence.

And Trumpers love him for that.

They always accuse the Democrats of what they are going to do.
They do it to "normalize" the abnormal and immoral.
They do it so they can point at the non-existent example of the Democrats doing it.
They point so they can say they'r'e no different than the Democrats.

All of it is a lie.
Every last part.

This is like when a cop stops you and asks for ID.

And you ask what's your reasonable articulable suspicion that I committed any crime.

And the cop says that's what I'm investigating, and I need your ID, and you're obstructing an official investigation if you don't comply.
