President Trump on Tuesday attacked European allies for not doing more to support the U.S. in its war with Iran and signaled they will have to reopen the Strait of Hormuz on their own.

After claiming that Iran asked for a ceasefire, Trump added in his social media post that he will consider it "when Hormuz Strait is open, free, and clear".

"Until then, we are blasting Iran into oblivion."
