Ginni Thomas isn't denying she sent emails to Mark Meadows. She's just claiming that she shouldn't be blamed because she was overwhelmed with emotion at the time.

Then she claims that she didn't talk to her husband about her "overwhelming emotions." I find that highly improbable considering their close personal "two peas in a pod" relationship with each other.

However, since recusal is voluntary, the decision Justice Thomas will make is a foregone conclusion with nary a peep from his fellow Justices.

As for the word "officer" I don't know how they can deny that Donald Trump was the Chief Executive Officer of the United States and Section 3 of the 14th Amendment does apply to him.

After the hearing is over, I don't see any way Thomas can recuse himself due to conflict of interest without incriminating his wife.

I fully expect him to choose protecting his wife (and himself) over protecting democracy and the future of America.

He's a man with no conscience.
