The Canton Police Department on Wednesday released body camera footage showing the death of 53-year-old East Canton resident Frank E. Tyson while in police custody, including his last words of "I can't breathe."

Police are trained that when a violator says "I can't breathe" they are lying.

I guess police training should include other officers restraining them and kneeling on them. Maybe then they MIGHT understand they are likely killing someone.

There is a macabre irony that the cops held him down with force and had to put their lips to his to try to bring back life. Aren't bars lovely? They attract the best people. These cops should be in jail (even if he lived).

That guy wasn't exactly the picture of health. Any kind of physical exertion, much less trying to wrestle multiple policemen at his age, would've been inadvisable had he asked a doctor or personal trainer.

There is absolutely no excuse for leaving a restrained person in a prone position. That was part of my training decades ago, before these officers were likely even BORN!

That being said, a very common cause of death in that type of crash is a transected aorta. If that was the cause of death, nothing they could have done would have saved him. There is still no excuse though.
