The lower grade ranks need a pay raise. Inflation has eaten their earnings and those with families are having a tough time making it. Renting on base, while a choice for the enlisted, always has a long waiting line, leaving then to have to pay the higher rents out on the economy. That leaves not much left to pay utilities and food. Many here are having to depend on the food banks just to make ends meet and they are not doing that well at it, even with the food banks.
