I got to the 2nd paragraph and quit when I read "a flaw in a Microsoft product". MS and Boeing out to be broken into a million pieces and sold off, like a scrapped car. I bought the laptop I'm typing on in 2017 and immediately started fighting with Win-10 and it's dangerous auto-updates and upgrades. I eventually got them to stop but was so pissed off by then that in 2019 I installed Linux Mint in a dual-boot and with-in 6 months, moved all my files from Win-10 to the Linux side and deleted Win-10 altogether. I've actually owned my computer ever since. MS makes crap, which is well known, and putting them and their ---- software in charge of national security is akin to storing secrets at Mar-a-Lago.

So when it comes to MS that is the way they function - as a million pieces. Irritating as hell. The rate of change in the cloud offerings feels like "we need an excuse to exist" and leads to constant configuration issues. Windows 10, ironically, I love. And those auto updates? Not so dangerous and actually a good thing IMHO. But with Windows 11 they really broke things again IMHO. Most Linux isn't as "dangerous" because in general it isn't as big of a target but it still requires constant patching. But I am moving toward Apple and Linux period at home.

The bottom line issue that is at the heart of both these companies' problems is Shareholder Capitalism.

Boeing buying Spirit back makes total sense they really need to OWN the plane manufacturing. Now put the engineers back in charge and kick the bean counters out.
