"Hamas has said it will not participate in the indirect negotiations in Doha for now, although mediators are said to be relaying messages to the armed group's officials based there.

It has called for a roadmap based on a proposal outlined by the US president and has accused Israel's prime minister of adding new conditions, which he has denied.

Israeli media report that the country's negotiating team has been given a slightly expanded mandate, while the relatives of hostages still held in Gaza are calling this the "last chance" to get some of them out alive.

The mediators face a number of potential sticking points, including control of land along Gaza's border with Egypt and the return of displaced Palestinian civilians to northern Gaza."

Well, that was quick....

"US, Qatar and Egypt say mediators will work to finalize Gaza ceasefire deal

Mediators announce a bridging proposal' that would set the path for regional de-escalation and ending the war.

The United States, Qatar and Egypt have issued a joint statement saying the mediators have put forward a "bridging proposal" that would allow the "swift" implementation of a deal that would end the war in Gaza and see the release of Israeli captives.

The three countries said on Friday that ceasefire negotiations in Doha were "serious and constructive".

'

"The path is now set for that outcome, saving lives, bringing relief to the people of Gaza, and de-escalation of regional tensions," the three countries said on Friday.

The US-backed plan would see a multiphased effort to end the war, starting with a six-week pause in fighting that would enable the release of some Israeli captives held in Gaza and Palestinian prisoners in Israeli jails."

Everybody is making noise about the hostages from October, but Israel has been taking hostages for many years.

Both groups of hostages need to be freed.

Gaza ceasefire talks? If the past few months are any indication.

These "ceasefire talks" are prime opportunity for the Israelis to kill lots of Palestinians.

Where are our resident ghouls to cheer on Israel?

I hear back in 1946 something happened which justifies killing over a million Palestinian children in 2024.

As soon as the hostages are released the Israeli State will ignore any agreement made and continue to slaughter and Usurp in Gaza and the West Bank.

Nothing will stop this but the loss of US support for their Crimes.

They Know this and are influencing our politics to ensure it can't happen.

People talk about Russia influencing our politics, but Israel does it far more openly, and effectively.

Palestine is Doomed, I see no future for them but continuing oppression and displacement, at Best.

At worst Total Extermination. With American Taxpayers funding the Slaughter and American Zionists profiting from the development of stolen lands and resources.

Only certain Peoples matter apparently, the Palestinians are not one of them.

And history will be written to somehow make this EVIL a force for Good and the inevitable course of human development.

The American experiment has perfected this on the indigenous peoples of North America.

It's just not Healthy to be inconvenient and in possession of things the Usurpers want,in Israel and North America.

Explain. I'm genuinely asking. What do you mean specifically?

The Palestinians are the party that was wronged initially. They were just living their lives, minding their own business, harming no one around them including the resident Jews.

Suddenly the Irgun and other Terrorists showed up and told them to pack up and clear out,or DIE.

It all progressed from there. Britain and the UN just gave Palestine to the Jews. The locals weren't even asked they wanted any part of it. No compensation was paid to them.

Then the Death Squads started killing and terrorizing local people to force them out.

No wonder there was war. But the Palestinians didn't start it.

Without outside support Israel wouldn't exist.

It doesn't deserve to.

Guilt about European crimes drove the push to give Palestine to the Jews.

Nobody even considered the peoples already there.
