The view from Okiehomie: This situation is a mess, all over.
-The House Speaker wants 50 or more co-signers to proceed with impeachment actions, and has only 20-21 right now, and 30 more signatories will not show up to sign. Walters knows this
-Those who have signed stuck their necks out for the betterment of the State, and to get rid of a terrible public official, and all signers are now marked
-Walters was elected because in the Sooner or Later State voters can still vote 'straight party' and it is reported that almost 80% of GOP voters do so, often having no clue whatsoever about who they are voting into office. Walters had the magic "R" next to his name. When he showed he true colors, folks all over were asking 'who voted for this person?', while looking in the mirror
-Education in this state is ranked at the bottom of US States, and Walters is trying to go lower with his bluster, BS and bullying, which is never-ending

The end result here will be that Walters will not be forced out by his GOP fellow travelers, his attacks on public education will moderate only the slightest smidge, and this man will set back Oklahoma by a generation. Companies do not come here now because of the poorly-educated populace, employers located here cannot get outsiders with school-aged children to come here because of the state of the schools, and the school systems are producing graduates unable to contribute to a 21st century economy and world. Never been to Oklahoma? Don't bother coming here...

We have Michele Morrow, who I'd wager will turn out worse than Walters, running for state superintendent here in NC. What republicans want to do to public education in this country should be enough to ensure no one ever voted for them again but it won't be.

Nah. Only by about 10 minutes.

The system is already so bad, it just can't be set back that far.
