Newtown, CT was basically a GOP-leaning town since the late 50's (maybe longer). They voted for fmr Pres Trump in 2012, but not in the subsequent two elections.

Thanks for a very hopeful story of great courage. I wish them all well, I wish we lived in an America that could look at the problem of mass murders with assault rifles and to what many countries have done. But that would deprive the "trained militia" of mass murderers of their Constitutional right to carry weapons of war to kill fellow Americans.
