Tel Aviv and Ma'ale Adumim CNN " A 40-year-old father of four, Eliran Mizrahi deployed to Gaza after the deadly Hamas-led attack on Israel on October 7, 2023. The Israeli military reservist returned a different person, traumatized by what he had witnessed in the war against Hamas in the strip, his family told CNN. Six months after he was first sent to fight, he was struggling with post-traumatic stress disorder (PTSD) back at home. Before he was due to redeploy, he took his own life. "He got out of Gaza, but Gaza did not get out of him. And he died after it, because of the post-trauma," his mother, Jenny Mizrahi, said.

I found this article to be thought provoking. And I think it applies Romany societies throughout the world which feel justified committing horrific criminal acts against perceived enemies. The USA experienced it in Vietnam. They say it has been an issue throughout the former Yugoslavia. Germany to some degree still experinces it. And all those secretive regimes throughout the world, such as Russia, china, N Koea, etc, also no doubt experience it. Otherwise healthy societies are traumatized and morally disfigured through concerted acts of evil against innocent people.

You can raise someone on hate (both side do it) but once an act is performed it is a reality that is hard to live with.

It's interesting watching people celebrate this genocide.

I always wondered what the Germans did while the Nazis killed the Jews.

Looks like they sat at home and read propaganda to help them support such efforts.

Psychopathic zionists were running over and killing unarmed people with bulldozers decades before CNN's puff piece on Eliran Mizrahi.

Nerf, you seem to miss the main point the article is making. It is not just the individuals committing the atrocities who suffer, but rather the society as a whole faces extreme trauma and moral debasement. Look at deep lasting trauma the USA went through in Vietnam as more and more of the atrocities became known to the world. It is only as that generation grows old and dies off that the horror begins to fade.
