Schiff - Entire Democratic Party responsible for Harris loss

In an appearance on NBC News's Meet the Press, Schiff was asked if he agreed with Rep. Nancy Pelosi's (D-CA) assessment that President Joe Biden bore some blame for the loss due to staying in the race so long. When pressed, Schiff shifted blame away from Biden, instead distributing blame across his entire party. "Look, I think the entire Democratic party bears the responsibility, myself included, and the former president ... mounted an effective campaign, and you have to give them credit for that," he said. "But the challenge that we have is we need to put forward a bold vision for how we're going to move the economy forward, make the economy work for every American," Schiff continued. "To me, the existential question is: if you're working hard in America, can you still earn a good living? And too many people doubt that that's possible."

I agree with that assessment.

Republicans have tilted the economy to transfer the wealth of the Country towards the already wealthy, to the detriment of those who have to work to put food on the table.

This statement isn't accurate by a long shot.

Trump's margin of victory is very slim.

And that's doesn't even take into account those who chose not to vote.

Just keep pretending you're an open borders liberal.

Brian Williams gave the most scathing opinion on what happened to the Democrats. Brutal to say the least.

My favorite part of the campaign was when Walz dressed up in hunting attire to woo blue collar Americans into believing they give a ---- about them. Then, they show him trying to load a shot gun and made a fool out of himself. Then there was Kamala with her Glock(TM). They insulted the people they need, but take for granted.

That seems to be the exact same thing that Repubs are saying about Dems.

I subscribe to an expat newsletter here in Germany. Most of those who supported Trump appeared to have done so out of the expectation that the economy under Trump was going to be more favorable. And in some ways, they're probably right.

I thought Harris and the Dems ran an exceptional campaign. If you would have proposed her as a candidate in 2022, I would have thought you were high. In 2024 she was the candidate I favored after demonstrating that she could function as a competent, well-rounded leader.

That seems to be the exact same thing that Repubs are saying about Dems.

The Dems appear to be the party of the rich and corporations. Though R's seem to have a few favs.

Most of those who supported Trump appeared to have done so out of the expectation that the economy under Trump was going to be more favorable. And in some ways, they're probably right.

It will change, and the country needed something to happen.

Strange no one brings up the "apology" video the DNC released of Harris. I resisted all the "she's a drunk" talk, but seriously what was she and the DNC thinking?
