Mexico's president Claudia Sheinbaum has warned US gunmakers they could face fresh legal action as accomplices of organized crime if Washington designates the country's cartels as terrorist groups.

Between 200,000 and 750,000 weapons manufactured by US gunmakers are smuggled across the border into Mexico every year, many of which are found at crime scenes. There is only one gun shop in the entire country of Mexico which is located on a military base near the capital. In 2023, Mexico suffered 31,062 homicides.

President Sheinbaum also warned Google over the Gulf of America episode. If Chrystia Freeland wins in Canada this year, Trumpf will face two competent women at his borders who he doesn't intimidate.

President Claudia Sheinbaum is marvelous. There will be plenty of sharp ex-AUSAs that Trumpf fired ready to sue the murderous US gun industry on behalf of Mexico (which will also benefit the American people).

The US is the largest supplier of arms in the world.

When we aren't selling them as a nation as an action of official policy, they're easily acquired and sent abroad because we're a nation saturated in weapons.

In any case, how will this even be enforced?

A federal lawsuit is filed in the jurisdiction of the weapons manufacturer (e.g. Colt, S&W, Remington). The Clerk of the Court assigns the case to a judge. If the judge deems the plaintiff has grounds to sue, the civil case proceeds. If the jury finds for the plaintiff, the guilty party must pay the damages sought. This is what happened to OJ Simpson when he was sued and lost. If the company doesn't pay, the USDJ orders the USMS to seize assets. Here is an example of a recent USMS enforcement from CBS news:

Good... the rest of the Americas should do the same... along with a few other nations.

Nobody needs our "American" guns... China can provide more than enough for the world to shoot themselves with... hell the US was buying Chinese munitions to fight Iraqi Freedom... true story.

It will be interesting when the world economically sanctions us and our products because there are plenty of replacements for purchase elsewhere. They don't need to buy what we make. We don't own technology or ideas... patents are a joke... we're not the smartest or best educated in the world...then see what your isolationistic populists do for funzies... what?... start another war to lose because they refuse to people buy our crap?

See how your fat retirement plans tied to stocks do.

Maybe they will let us buy food and medical only... you know like we've done to other nations... repeatedly. We tried to starve Cuba out of existence... our allies wouldn't allow it.

Our infrastructure is crumbling... our factories are shuttered and outdated... because the businesses relocated on foreign soil... Besides.... our fat children are not raised to do that sort of work anyways... Don't get me started on agriculture... Truumpanzee's soybean fiasco inspired Brazille to burn down vast swaths of rainforest to fill the gap... while US farmers declared bankruptcy.

Turd2 did the same thing with his cowboy politicking... Yanquis running around thumping their chest all about "going it alone".... while borrowing from China.
