Tensions between Trump and Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu were already bubbling up before the president spent the week visiting three of America's key Arab allies: Saudi Arabia, Qatar and the United Arab Emirates.

More from the article...

... Trump did not visit Israel " a snub that Israeli officials played down, as Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu has already visited the White House twice -- and there was a growing sense among Israeli commentators that something wasn't quite right.

This comes at a time when Israel is facing increasing criticism and isolation from other nations over the war in Gaza.

"If you take the last month and certainly the last week, in a series of moves and a series of statements, Trump not only completely sidelined Netanyahu and kept him out of the loop, but marginalized Israel as if it was not an ally," former senior Israeli diplomat Alon Pinkas, now a columnist for the Israeli newspaper Haaretz, told DW. ...

FTA: "Israeli commentator Alon Pinkas suggested that Trumpf doesn't like Netanyahu's "manipulations and constant deception on both Iran and Gaza."

Nobody does.

An international arrest warrant for war crimes issued by the ICC remains active for Benjamin Netanyahu. An indictment is merely an allegation. All defendants are presumed innocent until proven guilty in a court of law.

My guess (and it is only that) is that PM Netanyahu's recent visit to the White House was to talk with Pres Trump about Israel wanting to completely dismantle Iran's nuke programi.e., full-scale military assault on Iran by Israel, because Iran is currently weak.

Pres Trump surprise him by saying that he (Pres Trump) had already started negotiations with Iran, but not about a complete dismantlement.

Since that meeting, Pres Trump seems to be looking at PM Netanyahu differently.

Seems like Trump and Nuttyahoo are now fighting over Gaza; whether it will be the Trump Riviera or Israel's expansion settlement.

Which is the first thing I though of when I read of this new attack; possession is the bottom line, not talk.

* not to mention that it plays into the end times scenario of America attacking Israel, which up until recently sounded absurd.

Surprising since both Trump and Netanyahu were both desperate to be elected so they could stay out of prison.

It would be karmic justice if and when Nuttyahoo and Putin are finally arrested and convicted and have to live in the same cell.

How might this apparent "snub" affect future US-Israel relations?
