The new order, he says, would essentially allow "random fascist vigilantes" to "sign up to be a Brownshirt" for Trump's militarized occupation forces.

President Trump directed the Defense Department to take a larger role in domestic law enforcement, including by "quelling civil disturbances," in an executive order that comes as he threatens to broaden deployments of the National Guard in cities run by his political enemies.

Claims to be for keeping the peace in DC.

But with provisions to be deployed anywhere in the country where "unrest" is happening.

The next step in this slow creep is they'll "deploy" to one city based on "unrest" that Trump claims is happening and will never leave. Next step then is to simply broaden the EO to create these "forces" in each city Trump says needs one.

Thanks MAGA.

This is a direct result of defunding local authorities. Not the act of doing it but the propagation of the ideology that it's better to defend criminals than it is to defend victims. I'm not saying this EO is right or wrong, just saying that cause and effect is always part of the equation. Trump wouldn't have to bring in anyone to curb crime if crime were contained. But liberals have been fighting for several years now to allow crime to flourish, even supporting and encouraging crime that is liberally slanted. Again, not saying that is right or wrong since it is purely opinion based, just saying cause and effect are very real.
