We're done as a country.

The people who blamed one side blame that same side for everything.
This is just another day for them.

@#2 ... We're done as a country. ...
The Country survived the 60's. The assassination of JFK, RFK and MLK, the Democratic Convention riots in Chicago, the Vietnam War protests, etc. I lived through that, and i am still here.
Will the Country survive Pres Trump's assault upon Democracy to institute autocracy in the Country?
I wish I knew, but I remain hopeful.

I don't think that we're done.
I do believe that there will be blood.
I mean, there already has been.

Don't forget the civil war, The actual Vietnam war (not just the protests), Cuban missle crisis, Pearl Harbor, 9-11
And don't forget the worst of them all.

The country survived a lot of things.
But it's never had a president and party who are determined on turning our democratic nation into an authoritarian one.
Even during the time of Nixon, the Republican party remained faithful to America.
Conservatives put America ahead of the president.
I don't see that happening currently in today's America.

99% agreement.
I reserve the 1% because I hope that the Country survives.

-Even during the time of Nixon, the Republican party remained faithful to America.
50+ years later it seems fair to say that.
But at the time? Might not have seemed that way.

But at the time?
I don't know. I wasn't alive at the time.
But based on what I've seen, seems like Nixon didn't have the support Trump does.
Also, seems like Nixon had more integrity.
But again. A lot of this is based on second hand information.

Nixon was the opposite of charismatic... and he was a secret Crook, not a Mobster/Carnival Barker in your face Traitor/Criminal.

Oh I get it.
You're implying it might only seem this way today.
You're hinting the same Republicans who shut down the government to facilitate Trump dismantling the government might still be loyal to the government.
Stay Classy, Republicans!

Hey Eberly,
I can see why your clown ass had to plonk me, since I routinely dunk on you like Charlie Kirk dunking on a nineteen year old Women's Studies major.
BOOM! NECKSHOT!
Get wrecked, fascist.

They think they are. They also think the democrats are the unamerican traitors for not voting to keep the government open.
I couldn't care less what they think. They're wrong.....but they believe it.

Well, except for you.

Nixon didn't have the support Trump does.
Republicans didn't shut down the government at Nixon's request?
Congratulations, Republicans.
You finally got your revenge for being prosecuted for the Watergate break-in!
Eberly, don't tell us you're tired of Republicans winning... Say it ain't so, Mr. Life Long Republican.
How could Eberly possibly be a Republican and not be giddy about what is happening? I'll tell you how.
Eberly is a Republican much like BillJohnson, married to a woman and hasn't had has sex with men in forty years, is a gay man. It's a mask for a part of them we will never see.
The Republican Party has become the Big Tent for emotionally crippled and tortured men, which of course is most of them.
