Drudge Retort: The Other Side of the News

During opening statements at Trump's hush-money trial, a Manhattan DA said: "This case is about a criminal conspiracy. Trump orchestrated a criminal scheme to corrupt the 2016 presidential election," said Matthew Colangelo, a lawyer with Manhattan District Attorney Alvin Bragg's office. "Then he covered up that criminal scheme by lying in his New York business records over and over and over again."

He had a few accomplices, all of which are testifying against him.

The defense is claiming Trump is a "family man." Yeah, sure. Three times. ~ LOL
And the last one me met at a Golddiggers shindig.

The defense is claiming that Trump is "just like us." Yeah, sure ~ LOL. How many of "us" have tried to overturn the U.S. Government, stole top secret documents, and are now facing 88 felony counts? That's not any "us" I know about.

Trump's defense:

I didn't do it.
If I did, I didn't know about it.
It's a Democrat conspiracy.
Everybody is lying but me.
Alitia James hates me.

Eric and Junior have a case of courtroomphobia and Melania says "I don't really care. Do you?"

LMAO... it must have been a hard balancing act to do this while lining up Bill Clinton's mistresses to sit in the audience at his debates with Hillary... not realizing ego-deflation of "cuckold" rules usually don't apply to women's hardwired thinking. Especially powerful women. Nature made us so we always know the baby is ours by default.

Perhaps if he had spent more time preparing for a political debate rather than pettiness he might have won at least one out of the three.... but nooooooooooo-oooooo...

ssssssooooooo now everyone knows he keeps a small but not freakishly small mushroom in his drawers... and for the last 8 years thru the next 6 weeks, he has to bring focus on the one who divulged that to the public. He turned his private life into a freakshow. No matter how this turns out. He cucked himself.

Meanwhile, the Clintons are running organizations and writing books... spending time with the G-babies... birthing a new dynasty.

I really don't think this case is going to come down to the size of Trump's mushroom. That's National Inquirer stuff.

Trump is fighting to get back in the Oval Office, not for his reputation in the bedroom.

#6 Right, that's what this case is all about, keeping Trump out of the oval office, in the name of democracy of course.

As you people are so fond of saying:
We are not a Democracy.
We are a Constitutional Republic.

If this keeps Trump out of office, it's in the name of Section 3 of the Fourteenth Amendment of the Constitution of the United States of America.

Did your candy ass ever swear an oath to that Constitution, or are you a NPC?

I'd call it more like a residual benefit.

I thought this was supposedly helping him get back INTO the oval office. To save America from the "corrupt Biden crime family". Via jail.

Apparently.

Trump is micromanaging his own defense. I suspect Trump even wrote that flowery opening statement about himself.

That usually never work out.

With Trump doing all the heavy thinking for his attorney, I can hardly wait to see how Todd Blanche handles the cross examinations. Sidebars should add at least another month to the trial.

I don't know why Blanche doesn't just bugger out now to save his reputation and his livelihood.

Everything Trump touches dies.

You missed the point. Trumpanzee sought to humiliate the Clinton's as part of his debate strategy against Hillary rather than put on the big pants, learn some basic civics, and be a politician. This leg of the argument started with Trumpanzee's ---- shaming Hillary by proxy.

This whole legal hissy fit started back then. His debate device bit him in the @$$... and it hasn't let go from that point forward.

He... of all people... was stupid enough to "---- shame" the Clintons... quite frankly if there is anything conspiratorial I think it's coming from the Clinton camp.

I can respect your viewpoint but I still think we should stick to the actual charges in the case and the first person evidence and documents that led to the charge.

Speculation about what's going on in a person's mind at any given time may be selatious for the purpose of this blog but it's inadmissible.

Trump committed a crime to cover up another crime. The prosecution is building a case for a felony based on proving intent, backed up by Trump's own self-serving recorded history.

Todd Blanche should be very careful. Everything Trump touches dies, mostly the careers of attorneys.

What happened to the bloodbath?

It's sure doesn't look good for old Trumpy!

What an amazing trial. Its a real education in the law and how courts operate in real time. It's a real treat to have lived long enough to see Trumpy get held accountable for his actions. His whining after each session is so, well, satisfying.

I feel bad for the jurors having to go through this but after the trial each one has the opportunity to be rich and famous. If they wanna. No matter which way it ends they will be in great demand by the press. Everyone of them can write a book and give speeches about the experience. If they wanna.

As for me? I am gonna need more popcorn.

Greatest Show on Earth!

DONNER

I surely hope no juror goes public with their experience after this trial is over.

Trump never forgets and he never forgives (his words) and he'll be looking for scapegoats to victimize for his plight if he loses.

He'd be doing it in advance of a verdict right now if he could get his hands on their names.

I don't think there's a doubt in anybody's mind that Trump has been trying to get their identities from the moment they were officially sworn in. If he is successful, their very life could be in danger. And yes, like a cornered rat, he'll do any vile thing he can think of to escape.
