While Elon Musk and his underlings demand budget cuts and layoffs across the federal government, funding for their agency -- the Department of Government Efficiency -- has soared to nearly $40 million, ProPublica found in a review of Office of Management and Budget records.

None of Elmo's so called "savings" ever include the costs associated with the cuts and resulting from the cuts. The costs to Americans.

If it costs us a dollar later to save a dime today you've obviously done worse than doing nothing at all.

I don't think you get it.

The "cuts" mean nothing. It's all about a dollar amount on paper, not any actual savings, efficiency increases or sussing out fraud/waste/abuse.

Any "cuts" made are just getting rid of social programs and other spending these dogmatic idiots find distasteful. But it will be filled with increased funding to pet projects, new funding to fulfill promises to donors or tax cuts.

But make no mistake, the deficit needle will do anything but drop. It will probably increase.
