Travel Agents Urging Clients to Avoid United States

Tatyana Tandanpolie, Salon: By midday Wednesday, Canadian travel agent Micheline Dion had received another two emails from clients canceling their travel plans to the United States or voicing worries about their safety should they keep them. One client sought to nix his cruise out of Puerto Rico, while another wrote that they were worried about visiting Rochester, N.Y. this coming May.

The US occupies a tiny portion of the planet's surface (www.weforum.org). So many other places to go, people to encounter, things to see and experience. Especially when ignorant, bloviating, xenophobic loons in the States have been given free rein (and pardons) to bang on, doing their thang for at least the next few years. Too many poorly educated, rude yahoos with guns. Find somewhere nice, instead.

Republicans used to respect Colin Powell.

Republicans wanted Colin Powell to run for President but he declined, citing Republicans racial animus as the primary reason.
