President Donald Trump held a rare televised Cabinet meeting on Wednesday to commemorate the achievements of his first 100 days in office, which include gutting large parts of the federal government, starting an economically damaging trade war, and wrongfully deporting innocent people to El Salvador. "We have a lot of things going," Trump said, accurately enough. Trump's Cabinet members, including Treasury secretary Scott Bessent and Secretary of State Marco Rubio, spoke in glowing, sycophantic terms about their boss. But Attorney General Pam Bondi took it a step further, claiming that Trump had actually saved the lives of around two out of every three Americans. Bondi cited recent fentanyl seizures as the reason for this supposedly momentous accomplishment. |
