... The new rules forbid reporters from going into the hallway where Hegseth's office is located "without an official approval and escort from the Office of the Assistant to the Secretary of Defense for Public Affairs" -- a job held by top Pentagon spokesman Sean Parnell. If reporters wish to visit the public affairs offices of any of the other services, "they are required to be formally escorted to and from those respective offices," the memo adds. The Pentagon will also require reporters to sign a document pledging to protect "sensitive information," likely setting up situations where unfavorable reporting involving documents could be used as pretense to strip journalists of access to the building. ...

It looks like Sec Hegseth has said to Journalists: if you say something bad about me, you will no longer be able to report from the Pentagon.
Similar to what Pres Trump has done with the White House Press.
Transparency?

Yeah, there's that.
Has Sec Hegseth voluntarily submitted himself to medical tests to show he has not imbibed alcohol since he took office?
Or are we just to trust what he says?

NO THAT'S BS.
he's restricting access to anything a leftist leftover can give to the media.....anonymously, of course.
I know how this reduces more hoax and made up stories and means less headlines like...
TRUMP IS GOING TO BLOW UP THE WORLD" stupidity
don't worry I'm sure y'all can make up more stupid stuff.

Why is it BS?
And why does your current alias think that the only people in the Pentagon who talk with the media are leftists?
Is that an implication saying that you have to be in the Trump cult, professing adulation to Pres Trump instead of the Constitution, otherwise you are a leftist?
Serious question.

1) Trump is insane. He would destroy almost anything if it fed his ego. I mean, that's obvious even from recent and ongoing history.
2) Trump thinks he's immune from destruction personally. It's something to watch other people go through.

Trumpy, like so many are, is in denial of his own mortality.
Unfortunately for him death is something that you can deny all you want but in the end death will prove you are wrong. And you may only get micro seconds to finally realize the truth.
If you are lucky.
Momento Mori.

Ive been to the pentagon a number of times in the late 80s and no reporters were roaming the halls. Do not know when this was allowed to start, but highly suspect either under obama or biden and about time it was stopped. Military needs security, not dem leakers.

Aren't you special now!
I worked for the DOD for about 20 years. I had a TS SCI. Were you that special?
In MY experience reporters were NEVER included on a signal app (or any app) accidentally or on purpose.
Must only be allowed to happen in Trumplandia.
So ... does this also mean no more reporters included in classified briefings in the Signal app?
One would hope so!!

"Ive been to the pentagon a number of times."
My favorite is that hallway with the "Willie and Joe" cartoons from World War Two, by Bill Maudlin. Second favorite is the display of American flags throughout our nation's history, including the rare 49 star flag. Third prize is you work in Wedge 2 on 9/11.

These moves restricting transparency brought to you by the "most transparent administration" of Jeffy's lifetime.
