James Neil Gill (83) former director of the Sumner County Food Bank and senior pastor of Liberty Baptist Church in Tennessee, has been sentenced to 12 years in prison after pleading guilty to felony theft and patronizing prostitution. The Tennessee Bureau of Investigation (TBI) reported that Gill stole over $300,000 in charitable funds between 2020 and 2022. Gill used the nonprofit's money for personal purchases, home renovations, and to pay a volunteer for sexual services. He also issued checks to himself and others and bought a truck with food bank funds. A search of Gill's home later revealed over $100,000 in hidden cash. |
