The Dallas Morning News gathered hundreds of pages of autopsies and death records of maternal deaths that have occurred since Texas restricted abortion in late 2021.

In the time since lawmakers criminalized abortion in Texas, some women have faced delays or denial of treatment. Through over 100 interviews, The News has learned that many women have grown afraid of becoming pregnant in Texas. Read their stories in our series:

Apparently Texas men absolutely do not care if their women die or their children are born deformed and defective.

It would be nice if the Lord Jesus came back to Earth and dropped the entire State of Texas into Hell.

If they were actually "pro-life," they have written exceptions to save the life of the woman in peril.

As things stand, OBGYNs are scared to death of being arrested for saving a woman's life.
