Unless SCOTUS puts the kabash on "national emergencies" in name only with the tariffs case, expect this type of thing to increase as they are now clearly being signaled that the populace won't go along willingly.

I'll bet there were a few very early morning meetings looking at what the Tuesday election meant and where it indicated the electorate stood in regard to MAGA and their "governance."

Just like how not collecting unemployment stats means unemployment isn't a problem, not allowing valid elections will make public opinion a non-existent problem.

And the worst part (my prediction) is that they will be blatantly ridiculous with it to appease Trump's ego.

They'll give him a landslide election that is patently ridiculous on its face so that all his claims of a big beautiful win can finally be "true" even though the results will never remotely match any semblance of reality.

Trump is a conscience-less tyrant with a proven taste for blood,

The chance for official violence next November is better than fifty-fifty.

Take away my right to live and vote in a blue state, in this case, Oregon which has a vote by mail system, and you take away my freedom to express myself, and you take away my constitutional rights, as elections are mandated to be a state's right to determine.
But then, it is quite in keeping with the fascist right's adherence to the Putinesque scheme of creating a pretend democracy so the very rich can rule as gods, and we the poor can suffer and die without housing or health care or even keeping the right to elect our leaders.

Of course they're coming. However, I am encouraged by the actions of the judge that gave the Trump administration only a day to comply with his order to provide full SNAP benefits. By doing so, it put a stop to the delays that a feature of Trump's appeal process. Hopefully other judges will be as mindful of the Trump's delay tactics and how they corrupt the appeals process.
