... A similar bid was rejected earlier this year, but U.S. District Judge Rodney Smith said he was granting the Justice Department's renewed request in light of the bill that Congress passed last month requiring the DOJ to release all of its records related to Epstein.

The newly passed Epstein Files Transparency Act calls for the release of "unclassified records, documents, communications, and investigative materials that relate to Jeffrey Epstein and Ghislaine Maxwell," and the specific language of the law overrides the traditional secrecy of grand jury materials, Smith wrote.

It's unclear when the materials will become public. In its motion asking for the materials to be released, the Justice Department said it "will work with the relevant United States Attorney's Offices to make appropriate redactions of victim-related and other personal identifying information." ...

Blur the innocent, release the faces of the rest.

While they're at it, can they release the DC madam's list?

I still think that the darkest secrets of all in the Epstein files have to do with the big money boys and their utter corruption in money laundering and of course, trafficking.

This release is merely the Grand Jury records, not the so-called Epstein Files.

I suspect Pres Trump could have released the Epstein Files months ago, if he had wanted to do so.

I also suspect that this Grand Jury records release is merely an attempted distraction from the release of the Epstein Files.

I feel the same Lamplighter. At any time Trump could have ordered the release of the records. Instead he's done all he could to prevent the release. I also expect that any Republican mentioned will be inked out while any Democrat will have their names in the clear.

The Grand Jury won't have the real good stuff, that is not the purpose of the Grand Jury, which is merely to find out if there is enough evidence to have a trial and not waste the courts time. The well known clich is a Grand Jury will indict a ham sandwich, meaning there doesn't have to be a lot of evidence provided.
