A grand jury declined for a second time to re-indict New York Attorney General Letitia James on Thursday, refusing to resurrect a mortgage fraud prosecution encouraged by President Donald Trump, according to a person familiar with the matter. It's another major blow to the Justice Department after the dismissal of earlier charges against James and another longtime Trump foe, former FBI Director James Comey, in a stunning rebuke of the Trump administration's efforts to prosecute the president's political opponents.

More: The Justice Department asked a grand jury in Alexandria, Virginia, to return an indictment Thursday after a different grand jury in Norfolk last week refused to do so. The person who confirmed the failure to secure an indictment was not authorized to publicly discuss the matter and spoke on the condition of anonymity.

The allegations related to James' purchase of modest house in Norfolk, where she has family.

James says the case is politically motivated and has denied any wrongdoing.

I don't think that Trump's sick pride and sicker rage are done with James yet.

Donald thinks that he is a god, and gods are not mocked.

Trump is a mortgage fraud. Every accusation is a confession.

Fun fact... Dopey Don owned two homes in Florida that were listed as his primary residence on the mortgage docs at the same time.

Trump's Own Mortgages Match His Description of Mortgage Fraud, Records Reveal
The Trump administration has argued that Fed board member Lisa Cook may have committed mortgage fraud by declaring more than one primary residence on her loans. We found Trump once did the very thing he called "deceitful and potentially criminal."

In 1993, Trump signed a mortgage for a "Bermuda style" home in Palm Beach, Florida, pledging that it would be his principal residence. Just seven weeks later, he got another mortgage for a seven-bedroom, marble-floored neighboring property, attesting that it too would be his principal residence.

Pamnesia Bondo's DOJ is a joke.

HOW?!

(I mean the Grand Jury is right)

But it's the HEIGHT of incompetence to not secure a Grand Jury Indictment.

No defense attorney appears. Prosecutors don't have to show anything that hurts their case.

They are basically slam dunks if you have even the barest amount of evidence.

if you have even the barest amount of evidence.

I believe you answered your own question.

And Dummkopf Trumpf is going after a national hero and astronaut: t.co

"American hero, Mark Kelly has only had one wife. After she was shot in the head, he retired from the Navy and NASA to care for her and help in her recovery. Pete Hegseth's current wife is the woman he got pregnant when he was cheating on his 2nd wife who was also pregnant."

Apparently the USN report to persecute Mark Kelly is ready.

"Pete Hegseth's current wife is the woman he got pregnant when he was cheating on his 2nd wife who was also pregnant."

That simply tells Republicans he's a multi tasker, a self starter, and such an overwhelming family man he couldn't help but start two families.
