The sinister Trumpf junta's "budget cuts this year will leave more people exposed to potential foodborne illness in the future. The changes will degrade US food safety. Less pathogens are being monitored by a key surveillance program and the brain drain of foodborne illness staff at the CDC and FDA amid low morale and overwork have already led to a historic low in inspections of foreign facilities that import food to the US."
Every person in the US stricken with a disease because they weren't vaccinated, a victim wounded by a firearm, a patient hospitalized because of food poisoning, or a technician sick from radiation exposure, is a paycheck for the corporations in the for-profit American healthcare system that Republicans support, defend, and cherish.
