China has the US over a barrel regarding rare-earth minerals.

And seems to be exploiting that advantage.

China seems only to be exporting rare-earth magnets to the US, and not the rare-earth raw material to be processed in the US. Making it difficult for the rare-earth processing industry to start up in the US.


Now, graphite seems to be moving to the fore, but it appears we have a supply of raw material.
