Trump announced on Wednesday that he would not follow through on his threat to impose tariffs on eight European allies on Feb. 1 over their opposition to his claim of Greenland. Why it matters: Trump already dropped his threat to invade Greenland earlier Wednesday, and has now reversed his tariff threat " which had triggered a crisis in the transatlantic alliance and rattled global markets.

If you're arguing that Trump won this, answer these questions:

1. Will Greenland be a U.S. state or territory?

2. Will we have "the title" as Trump put it, to Greenland?

3. Will the citizens of Greenland pay U.S. taxes?

4. Will Greenland fly the American flag as its national flag?

This is just more evidence that the man is out of his mind.

I suppose we can go on collecting such evidence until he nukes someone.

He knows exactly what he's doing. He just made another huge windfall in the stock market. Illegally, of course, but as we all know he's above the law. Nothing can be done. Thoughts and prayers.

He (Trump) knows exactly what he's doing.

In much the same way that a serial murderer knows what he is doing.

Trump started out by being a sociopath.

His progressing dementia is a later addition.

But if you want to say that he is evil and not insane, I won't argue with you.

To my mind he is obviously both.
