Carter Camacho (18) of Smyrna, GA was arrested without resistance for Unlawful Activities, Carrying a Rifle without a License, Unregistered Firearm, and Unregistered Ammunition.

Camacho also had multiple rounds of ammunition and was wearing a tactical style vest.

USCP officers found the suspect's SUV in front of the US Botanic Garden on Maryland Avenue, SW. A gas mask and helmet were spotted inside the vehicle.

The USCP's Threat Assessment Section is investigating to determine the suspect's motive. He was not on file with the USCP.

Last year a Republican maniac from Texas was arrested for threatening NYC Mayor Zohran Mamdani (D-NY) and a few weeks ago, a Republican lunatic attacked House Democrat Ilhan Omar (D-MN) at a town hall where she fearlessly met her assailant head on: YouTube

Georgia has some of the laxest gun ownership restrictions in the US and every eleven minutes someone in the US is killed with a firearm, either by an assailant, by accident, or by their own hand. According to the NIH, one in five Americans live with a mental illness. The linked USCP report shows an increase in threat reporting against Members of Congress. This is all a formula for future tragedies, like US Congresswoman Gabrielle Giffords (D-AZ) who was shot in the head by a crazed Republican in Tucson Arizona on 8 Jan 2011; 18 others were wounded.

"This American carnage stops right here and stops right now." (Dummkopf Trumpf, braying to the Nation on 20 Jan 2017)

Strange, the suspect wasn't executed on the spot.

Guess the USCP officers aren't ICE.

In prosecuting federal cases, proving motive is immaterial, but the USCP (and maybe the FBI) want to determine Carter Camacho's motive.

In these turbulent times "that try men's souls" and untreated mental illness cases in the US, I wonder what USCP investigators will discover.

I'm surprised this visitor wasn't welcomed as some sort of hero. I guess he wasn't carrying the Stars and Bars at the time...

"Camancho" lol

I heard his full name is actually Carter Elizondo Mountain Dew Herbert Camacho.

And apparently he was just looking for a guy named Not Sure who apparently "had a plan to fix everything". In one week!

This is so comically bad that I can't view this as anything but an unserious attempt at...I don't even know what because it's so comically bad.

The extra shells on the side saddle appear to be low brass shells, meaning they're bird shot. Hunting or target practice rounds.

Nothing that is going to do serious damage to anybody wearing any level of protection.

And given the readily available nature of ARs and 5.56 ammo, why would someone just run at the capital carrying an entry level pump shotgun?

The only way this is a serious attempt at something is it's a probe. Inducing a response for the response to be studied.

Or it's theater to justify coming changes to capitol accessibility or transparency.

*** Passenger Plane Makes Emergency Landing After Man Tried to Breach Cockpit ***

"A Delta Air Lines flight from Houston to Atlanta made an emergency landing after a passenger tried to access the cockpit.

DL 2557 had just taken off from Houston's Hobby Airport when the pilot declared an emergency. Eighty-five passengers and five crew members were on board.

"We had a passenger get up and try to access the cockpit," the pilot can be heard saying. "Can you coordinate and have security standing by?"

In 2025, there were 1,621 unruly passengers reported to the FAA. So far, in 2026, there have been 126."

"Like other high-income countries, the US has experienced a rise in mental health conditions over the past four years. But unlike its peers, the US does not guarantee access to affordable and comprehensive health care, including mental health care. Nearly a third of the 50 million US adults with a mental health condition are unable to get needed treatment, and about 11% lack health insurance."

Bird shot?

Even Dick Cheney knew bird shot isn't lethal to humans.
