Polygamy has been illegal in the entire US. It was a barrier for Statehood for Utah. Now, polygamous relationships exist, but how to do reconcile giving legal protections for multi partner relationships while not being married.

It was inevitable that polygamy would be at play eventually with an ever changing society.

Is it just a matter of a relationship involving people making contracts.

Doesn't really need marriage, but marriage laws is the changes that will be sought.

I could car less personally. That being said I don't think it passes judicial scrutiny. But that's my opinion on the matter.
