Anyone concerned about oil prices should read about "Dated" contracts.

Lots of oil is on tankers outside the strait. When that oil is delivered and refined, we're going to be facing shortages and the price at the pump will skyrocket.

There a pipeline from the well to the Gas pump. Refineries etc.

A lot of infrastructure is getting
Vaporized.

When that oil is delivered and refined, we're going to be facing shortages and the price at the pump will skyrocket.

These price hikes are just a response to the prospect of what is to come.

Now that some regions have received shipments that passed the straight before it closed and they're on a clock with a defined, limited supply, we're going to start seeing price hikes sparked by actual shortages.

This has to be an intentional international economic nuke because nobody is this stupid and oblivious. Nobody.
