AI has just been telling society what it will take from them, not what it will give.
I have no idea what I will use it for, if anything. I'd rather rely upon a lying human being than something that has no concept of truth.

What do you expect? They've foisted something on us that people don't want and it's being used in ways that are not only not wanted but also detrimental to your average person.
What was supposed to be a tool that improved people's efficiency and work flow is now being used as a tool to improve corporate profit at the expense of workers.
