Palestinians are closing linked to Samaritans, some genetically, others culturally and or by religion; the small group that still exist separately from Jews follow the first 5 books of the Hebrew texts.

Of course, when JC wanted to shame the Jews for their arrogance towards Samaritans of his day, he told the parable of the Good Samaritan, who came to the aid of a Jew who had been beaten and robbed... and then passed by by other Jews.

Obviously modern Jews still aren't interested in that story, or in him.
