A Security Aviation aircraft carrying a pilot and seven passengers crashed Thursday en route to Southwest Alaska, authorities say. The Cessna 441 was bound from Anchorage to Cape Newenham, according to National Transportation Safety Board investigator Millicent Hill. The plane crashed west of Cape Newenham's airport around 12:15 p.m., according to the Federal Aviation Administration. It departed from Ted Stevens Anchorage International Airport. |
