President Trump said in an interview published Thursday that he has not ruled out invoking the Insurrection Act or declaring a national emergency around the midterm elections in November.

It's as if he is TRYING to lose the midterms. With historically low approval ratings, it would be wise to avoid the press altogether. Instead, he gives TIME magazine this bonkers, unhinged & l-e-n-g-t-h-y stream-of consciousness interview, pathologically lying throughout. shorturl.at/PMvVB

"Trump, however, has warned that if Democrats reclaim either chamber, they will attempt to impeach him for a third time. He dismissed unfavorable polling for him and other Republicans as being fake."

8/10 that Trump makes an aggressive move against outr elections if he sees it not going his way.

All pretense that some still hold here that the man is not a sniveling dictator will be blown away.

He is going to use everything he can to stop the GOP from losing.

Everything. Legal or illegal.

Holy Mike will go along with it.

Thune might be the only one to stand in his way.

"Holy Mike will go along with it."

Of course he will. He will go along with anything they decide.

He has had a taste of power

And Maga Mike (and his Accountability Buddy) is about to lose that power.

Where's Trump going to find an "insurrection?"

There never seems to be one around when you need it.

He'll just make one up.

Seriously.

He'll just make one up.

Maybe I'm being naive, but an insurrection would be pretty hard to miss. There are cameras everywhere. I can't imagine how he could just make one up. Unless he claims there's fleet of enemy nuclear submarine lurking+ off shore threating to lob missiles into government buildings.

(I know a few people who would say, go ahead.)

Plus, Trump already used that "insurrection" scam as an excuse to start deporting immigrants.

Nobody's buying that anymore either.

Look at Nevada. Trump just got through swearing that 15,000 non-citizens were registered to vote there.

The were none. Zip. Nada.

But look how hard that was to prove the lie to.

The allegation of insurrection will be treated by the Trump fascists as fact.

The rest of us will be forced to deal with it.
