Musk came in and just tore agency after agency apart. For the most part, today's Republican Party is a danger to our Constitutional Republic, because they are smart enough to know that we have a sort of Al Capone now in the White House and almost no Republican has the spine to fight for us, non MAGA folk and protect our rights.

He then went on to make billions from what said was corrupt and dangerous to America.
Of course, many, many MAGA lost an immense amount in that same crypto scheme.

Yes, Mike Johnson is a coward and an enemy to our Constitutional Republic...he is willing to risk our military strength in order to kiss Trump's rump. Again. Vote against the NDAA.

Still, Citizen United let Musk buy the Presidency for Trump and the 2028 elections...one wonders if a trillionaire has enough money to convince the remaining MAGA to vote for the most corrupt, the worst leader, America has ever seen. Roberts laughed when people told him that Citizens United would cost us our democracy.
Fascism, as defined by me, is the permanent rule of the billionaire caste with a totally corrupt legal system and a pretend democracy, where the rule of law is replaced with the iron hand of the "Dear Leader" monster. One person one vote democracy is replaced by one dollar, one vote...and yeah most states are being massively corrupted by big money and gerrymandering.

And here is my prediction...Trump walked away from those casinos he bankrupted quite wealthy...as he told them the only way they could get their casinos back to try and fix them would be to grease his palms. That was, as I understand it, done, but still, the damage was unfixable.
So, for Trump to walk away from the debacles, plural, he has caused in our democracy, he would need assurances that if he resigned, say, in a month from now, that a party hack, say JD or even Rubio, as VP, would rise to the Presidency and pardon him and his gang from any and all crimes.
He then goes to Mar a Lago rich as hell, laughing all the way.
If Alito or Thomas resigns soon he can put JD, who is a lawyer, in that seat and Rubio as VP.

One has serious doubts that going forward the American electoral system will be even close to representing the needs and voices of the poor and the powerless. They, as in MAGA cultists, haven't taken over each and every department in our government for our good, but for the good of their damn bank accounts.

As I said in Trump's first term...if indeed he sets up prison camps for his opponents, I want to go to the one with the folks from MSNow and people like George Conway. I like intelligent conversations, and in prison one probably is safe from MAGA propaganda.

Some things cannot be opposed, like medical science that over the years has shown that vaccines have saved many millions of lives. Oh sure, Kennedy can oppose them, but not in a rational way, the way one would hope the head of HHS would run his office.

And don't think that in the end, Trump will be brought to justice, to Justice, through the American legal system. He will soon be pardoned for each and every damn thing he and his grifting gang ever did...all he has to do is pardon them, then resign, and then Vance or whoever is his VP at the time, automatically becomes President and pardons Trump.
Otherwise, Trump out of office in an America where the Dems control both Houses of Congress, would be investigated in many states and certainly by the reconstructed DOJ. Resign and get a pardon...what I would do.

For once I agree mightily with Kennedy...we are, at our core, protected by the Constitution against deadly conduct by private companies. Congress needs to pass a law. Another law.

Corruption and incompetence was always the action plan of the Texas Republican Party, but this particular election will show just how bizarre things have gotten. I look forward to Talarico's election to the Senate, and to his alliance with Bernie to try and help the bottom third of the economic pyramid, rather than the 1%.

If I were boss, America would simply walk away from the insane asylum called the Middle East, and let everyone know if we need their products we pay cash, but no more American blood will be spilt in those endless wars, Israel against Arab, Sunni against Shia...
But then, that is what Trump has said he would do, and look at the chaos he has immersed the US into. Israel is an apartheid nation keeping millions of Palestinian people locked in the Occupied Territories until Israeli settlers can murder more Arabs and steal more Arab land.
