There are some entertaining games on at the bar right now. I am relatively content. Coldest beer in town.

Oh, man! For a moment there, I thought the Nooner was back!

Ah. Well, it seems like soccer is a semi-fresh start as a professional sport in this country. I live right on the border, so it's always been been big in a small way here. Now it's big in a medium way. I've never seen my bar more packed than when Mexico was playing in the FIFA tournament. It was as a lot of fun.

Oh, Trump?

#5 Who's that? I've been away for a spell.

I was talking to a bar buddy earlier who observed that college ball simply isn't bringing in the fans anymore. Could be. I can believe that football isn't what it once was. Prediction: In 10-20 years, soccer will be the preeminent team sport in America.

What mischief is underfoot this bye week? What trades are in the works? Who might get the sack?

Stay tuned. . .

I calculate fraud in terms of how many beers it amounts to.

Cousin Strawberry

Courtney Love claims ol' Uncle Ted was inappropriate with her when she was underaged:

Ha! Tig Notaro for president!

#14 Lesbians rule!!

I guess both of the above can be simultaneously true.

I don't get it: Trans Men are using the women's restroom because they are biological women from birth? Did I drink too many beers already, or isn't this what the law requires?

If you stop feeding the rats, they'll stop coming around.

rational person ...

Why does any rational care what an aging club comic, bizarre sports analyst, or redneck singer think about anything other than how they can better entertain us?

Sackapotomus Rex

That ball's got butter on it.

All for naught

Fortuitous fumble review

Nice goal line stand.

There seem to be more people here at the bar rooting for the Chiefs than the Chargers.

I broke down and walked to my spot for the second half. I listened to The Director's play by play show on YouTube for the first half. That kid is a lot of fun.

#12 I have fond memories of visiting USD to stay with my high school friend's older sister who was a nursing student there. I remember she took us to see Flash Gordon on the big screen. It's been a while.
