Human Rights Watch (HRW) informs: "Israeli forces have expanded ground operations in southern Lebanon after indicating an intent to forcibly displace residents, destroy civilian homes, and conduct strikes that could target civilians. Forcible displacement, wanton destruction, and attacks deliberately targeting civilians are war crimes. Countries that continue to provide Israel with arms and military aid risk complicity in the Israeli government's serious violations in Lebanon."

"Gardens of Stone" 1987 Hollywood Film About the Sentinels During the Vietnam War
Are you kidding me? I was terrified by those good-looking young dames! Homina-homina-honina....i.ytimg.com
Hi Doc Sarvis:
Great vignette and quite accurate from what my Vietnam veteran friends related to me about douche-bag leaders.
Imagine a NYC Puerto Rican accent, New York-ish, but still Rican, if you can.
An experienced NCO (and US Army Ranger school graduate) advised his crisp, newly-minted white 1LT infantry platoon leader in Saigon: "Sir, if you want to survive this ---, you'd better listen to me. If you're here to get a medal, I'll pin it on you when you are in the body bag. Sir."
Apparently the 1LT took his advice during combat operations and the two remained friends after the war.
Another (incredible) story I heard from those same Vietnam veterans involved smuggling weapons and drugs in and out of the warzone and into the US. The scheme seemed to fantastic for me to believe since I was a young inexperienced lad soon to join the US military.
Decades later I saw this film and my jaw dropped, hitting my lap with a thud: image.tmdb.org
Yup, logistics of moving gear and costs of studio time in NYC become taxing, except for the vocalists.
Stewart Copeland once remarked: "I knew we made it, because I didn't have to haul around my drum kit anymore."
Last century our band would run into a musician at a studio; he'd be finishing while we were coming or vice versa.
I didn't recognize him, but my bandmates did: Didn't Know Him from Adam
American retirees will feel this Dummkopf Trumpf/Bibi Netanyahu-created inflation harder.
"Inflation ticked up in recent months, resulting in a 2.8% COLA for 2026 for people receiving Social Security and SSI payments. SSA estimated that the average retirement benefit would rise by about $56 a month, from $2,015 to $2,071, starting with payments that began going out in January 2026. That sounds like a meaningful boost - until you look at what Medicare is taking back simultaneously.
The Centers for Medicare and Medicaid Services announced that the standard monthly premium for Medicare Part B, which covers doctor visits and other outpatient care, climbed in January from $185 to $202.90, a 9.7% increase. That effectively reduced the increase to the average Social Security check in 2026 from $56 to $38.10, after subtracting the Part B increase of $17.90 from the 2026 COLA raise. In that scenario, the Part B increase consumed almost 32% of the monthly increase. For retirees on fixed incomes, a real-dollar gain that shrinks by nearly a third before it even hits a bank account is far from the relief the headline number implies."
~snip~
These are financial problems that US and Israeli mega-oligarchs, as well as the good-for-nothing members of the Trumpf Crime Family (TCF), will never have to deal with.

And who could comprehend Dummkopf Trumpf's word salad anyway?
"People are saying that Iran is talking to me but not saying what I want I them to say, so I say, JD!! What kind of shoes are you wearing? And nobody's got nicer shoes than Marco now, thanks to me. And having ICE at the airports will catch all them Iranians with the nuclear backpacks-- the ones that eat dogs and cats-- that's what people are saying. And look at my poll numbers-- through the roof! And where was I about Marco's shoes? Oh, yeah, Iran."
